MUMBAI: A total of nine bidders remained in fray for the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus(CSMT) redevelopment project that promises airport-like experience to passengers, besides opening up a space for commercial and residential units in south Mumbai.
Indian Railway Stations Development Corporation (IRSDC), which is spearheading the bidding process, had invited requests for qualification under the public-private partnership (PPP) basis on August 20, 2020.
The nine bidders were shortlisted after Indian Railway Stations Development Corporation (IRSDC) evaluated the RFQ (Request for Quotation) Applications submitted by the bidders
On January 15, 2021, IRSDC opened the RFQ applications of CSMT Railway station and received response from 10 developers.

The Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA), the organisation responsible for executing the redevelopment of the New Delhi Railway Station has invited the request for quotation (RFQ) bids which witnessed participation from national and international companies. The Railways said on Wednesday that nine companies including Adani Railways Transport, ISQ Asia Infrastructure Investments, and GMR Highways, have expressed interest in the revamp project, entailing an investment of around Rs 6,500 crore. The New Delhi railway station redevelopment project has received qualifying bids from nine companies Arabian Construction Company, Adani Railways Transport, BIF IV India Infrastructure Holding (DIFC), ISQ Asia Infrastructure Investments, Anchorage Infrastructure Investments Holdings Limited, Kalpataru Power Transmission Ltd, GMR Highways Limited, Omaxe Limited and Elpis Ventures, according to a source. The bids were received on Tuesday.
In the next stage, Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA) will float the financial bid for selected participants.
