ISLAMABAD: Ministry of Federal Education has in principle agreed upon new examination reforms proposed by Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) in order to improve standard of education in the country and provide students flexible chances to excel.
“The examination reforms are being given final touches, but let me say that we will make the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education [FBISE] a leading board to be followed by other boards of the country,” Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood said while talking to Dawn on Friday.
Proposals are under consideration and will be approved after being reviewed; the proposals call for holding two full-fledged examinations in the year instead of one for Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) from 2022.
