City of Seattle to host concerts, events, Halloween in July as part of Welcome Back Weeks Lindsey Major, SeattlePI
Washington state was granted permission to reopen fully on Wednesday, and with excitement, the city of Seattle and the Downtown Seattle Association (DSA) have announced multiple events to help revitalize the local economy.
Throughout the summer, the city and DSA plan to attract both locals and tourists back to downtown streets with music, art, food and community.
Downtown Summer Sounds has been a community staple in Seattle for over 40 years. While adjustments had to be made during the pandemic, this year’s ease of restrictions allows the event to come back in full force. Sponsored by Amazon, the event will have stages and performances scattered across the city, from Denny Park to Pier 62.
