GREATER NOIDA: A walkway spanning over 5km will be developed in Gamma 1 of Greater Noida by next year. The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) has already taken approval of the forest department to include its land to develop the walking trail.
Being planned close to LG Rotary and Jagat Farms, the walkway will include all the scattered green belts and parks in the locality. A total of seven such green patches have been identified during surveys.
The authority has also hired a planning and architecture firm to study the entire block closely and suggest what amenities can be developed for morning and evening walkers.

In its first attempt in March, the company offered its Rs 206 crore issue in the price band of Rs 295-300. But it could not generate enough bids to sail through despite extending the IPO deadline, thanks to uncertainty over rising Covid cases globally then.
The authority had set aside Rs 9.9 crore for horticulture works
GREATER NOIDA: A new action plan will be put in place from the next year to maintain flora and fauna in Greater Noida, officials have said. Taking note of frequent complaints sent by residents’ groups, the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) has decided to link billing of its contractor assigned with horticulture duties with productivity. The authority had set aside Rs 9.94 crore for horticulture works in the current fiscal.
Divided into 40 residential blocks, Greater Noida has been split into eight work circles and water and sewerage divisions have been earmarked as ninth and tenth work circles.
A budget of Rs 63 lakh has been set aside for the park
GREATER NOIDA: The city’s first park with an open gymnasium will be ready by early next year, officials of the local authority have said. The facility will come up inside Mihir Bhoj park, popularly known as City Park.
Earlier this month, the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) had started work on developing the open gymnasium and a budget of Rs 63.55 lakh had been set aside for it. The open gym has been set up on a slightly elevated platform and will have equipment like parallel bars, abdominal board, arm wheel, twister, bench, horse rider and equipment for shoulder and chest press.
