Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust (GMMH) has signed an eight-year, £10 million contract with Civica for an electronic patient record (EPR) suite.
The trust is to implement the company’s cloud based systems including Cito for clinical information management, Paris for case management and Prescribing for electronic prescribing and medicines administration.
In addition, a new portal will give its staff a real time holistic view of the relevant information.
Civica said this will enable GMMH to consolidate all patient data and workflow capabilities, and move towards being a paper free organisation while ensuring patient safety and data security.
Grace Birch, associate director of information management and technology at GMMH, said: “Over the past year, we’ve seen increased demand for our services as the UK’s mental health demands becomes ever more acute.
