Pastor s Corner: National Day of Prayer - Thursday, May 6, 2021 Last updated 4/30/2021 at 9:42am This next Thursday, the Greater Havre Area Ministerial Association is hosting this year s National Day of Prayer observance, with the Pastors Worship Band playing at 11:30 a.m., weather permitting, at Havre s Town Square. The National Day of Prayer service starts at noon, with each person attending bringing their own sack lunch and lawn chair. Pastor Munya, from the Alliance Church, will be preaching the message. Pastor Edroy Curt Curtis, from Havre Assembly, will be emcee-ing our prayer time together, with area pastors leading in specific prayer focal points. Everyone is welcome to atte.

LAC hears presentation on Sober Life Program Last updated 3/10/2021 at 11:28am The Hill County Behavioral Health Local Advisory Council heard, at its monthly meeting Monday, a presentation on the Sober Life program and its possible expansion to Havre. Dean Snow of Alliance for Youth in Great Falls spoke to LAC members about the program and explain what exactly it does. He said it’s an organization started by people in recovery, for people in recovery, providing connection and purpose in the form of activities to help them on their journey. He said the organization holds events like dance fitness classes, volleyball games, women empowerment events, as well as gath.

Hill County awarded federal funds for emergency food and shelter programs Press release Hill County has been chosen to receive Phase 38 award of $4,527 to supplement emergency food and shelter programs in the county. The selection was made by a National Board that is chaired by the Federal Emergency Management Agency and consists of representatives from the Salvation Army; American Red Cross; United Jewish Communities; Catholic Charities, USA; National Council of the Churches of Christ in the U.S.A.; and, United Way of America which will provide the administrative staff and function as fiscal agent. The Board was charged to distribute funds appropriated by Congress to help expand the capacity of food and shelter programs in high need areas around the country.
