Sobbing sounds: ‘Nina, the police were just here; it’s about mom. Mom is gone.’ As soon I heard those words everything in me just dropped. Nooooooo I cried out on the phone. She described to me that mom was found in her friend’s place, which was at the Ledo Hotel, but the cops couldn’t tell her what had happened as it was an open investigation.”
