South Korean team wins Vietnam s global cybersecurity contest

Engineers from South Korea, Russia and the U.S. pocketed the first, second and third prizes at WhiteHat Grand Prix 06 organized by Vietnam.
The final round was held on Dec. 27, with competing teams comprising two from Vietnam, three from the U.S., two from South Korea and three each from Germany, India and Russia.
The Vietnamese teams finished in sixth and seventh places.
In this round, finalists vied in the attack/defense program inside a simulated environment.

Hanoi (VNA) - Thanks to strong support of the
Vietnamese Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC), the rate of domestically-made cyber security and safety products has reached 91 percent and will amount to 100 percent next year.
The MIC is tasked with developing and mastering Vietnam’s ecological system of information security products in service of e-Government, smart urban areas and information system of national importance in accordance with the Resolution No.01 dated January 1, 2020 on key measures to carry out socio-economic development plan and State budget estimate 2020.
