Los Angeles The LAPD police officer who sought to meet LeBron James to discuss “the reality” of policing said the NBA superstar has not responded to his open letter. In a Facebook post, officer Deon Joseph assailed LeBron, but said he hoped to sit down and talk about him about the reality of polic
James ended up replacing the deleted tweet with one that simply read “accountability.”
The letter Officer Joseph wrote to James a few days later detailed what the job of a police officer sometimes entails and asked James to listen and learn to the perspective of a black officer who knows the vast majority of police officers are not the monsters James and others on the left make them out to be.
As of this writing, James has not responded to Joseph’s request. But that has not kept the veteran officer from continuing to speak out. He appeared on Fox News yesterday and continued with his mission to get James and other high profile critics of law enforcement to understand the other side of the story:
Last week a Columbus Ohio police officer was called to a residence because of a person attempting to stab people. Fox News reported a person called 911 and informed them that someone was: trying to stab us.[indistinguishable].trying to fight us, trying to stab us, trying to put their hands on our grandma. Get here now.
The police arrived and within seconds and saw a female bulldoze one girl to the ground and appeared to attempt to stab her when another girl stopped her from doing so. Then the out-of-control female turned her rage on that girl and attempted to stab her. The female who attempted to stab both girls did so right in front of the police. When the females attempted to stab the second female a police officer saved the other female s life and shot the out-of-control female, unfortunately killing her.
