The pop sensation, 50, tweeted a video of show staples Abby and Georgia as they praised the singer for saving an otherwise COVID-blighted festive season with her Mariah’s Magical Christmas Special.

The song initially peaked at number two in 1994, after being pipped at the post by boy band East 17 s Stay Another Day, and the last three years have seen it return to match that original chart position.
But the 50-year-old singer s iconic track has now reached the top spot, following a closely fought battle with fellow festive anthem Last Christmas by Wham!.
