Manitoba First Nations Police Service Officers in Sandy Bay First Nation responded to a call involving a male suspect in possession of a gun and holding a female against her will in the residence On February 1, 2021, at approximately 2:30 a.m.
Officers of the Crime Reduction Team (CRT) and general Patrol Officers immediately responded to the location and upon arrival at the scene, Police located 4 suspects attempting to leave in a vehicle. When the vehicle was stopped by Police, a firearm was observed on the floorboard of the driver’s side of the vehicle. Police vacated the occupants from the vehicle and a subsequent search of the vehicle located a replica handgun, which was later determined to be a BB gun.
