With Governor Greg Abbott s order which ends the statewide mask mandate and opens up businesses to 100% capacity in Texas set to go into effect on Wednesday, City of Laredo leaders continue to prepare for the worst should the order lead to a surge of COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations.
As has been the viewpoint since Abbot s announcement last week, city leaders continue to advocate that citizens continue practicing CDC guidelines, which have proved an effective deterrent against the spread of the virus thus far.
