Cypress Mayor Peat responds to concerns about difficulties of seniors getting vaccinated

At the most recent regular Cypress City Council meeting, concerns were raised by Councilwoman Frances Marquez concerning the difficulties faced by vulnerable seniors in successfully receiving a vaccination against COVID-19. She had encountered these difficulties firsthand while trying to arrange an appointment for her own mother. She had visited two instances of the County’s mobile point-of-dispensing and brought up the possibility of the County sending a mobile point-of-dispensing to the Cypress Senior Center. Dear Chairman Do, I am writing with the unanimous support of the Cypress City Council on behalf of our 50,000 residents, nearly 10,000 of whom are seniors or disabled, to urge the County of Orange to prioritize a COVID-19 mobile POD distribution in Cypress and to offer our support in serving the communities of north Orange County.
