MONITORING DESK: The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa, while on an official visit to Ukraine, visited the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine where he held separate meetings with the Ukrainian Prime Minister H.E. Mr. Shmyhal Denys and the Deputy Prime Minister & Minister for Strategic Industries H.E. Mr. Uruskyi Oleh, the Dispatch News Desk (DND) news agency reported citing Pakistan army’s media wing Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
During the meetings, matters of mutual interest, regional security situation including recent developments in the Afghan peace process and enhanced bilateral & defence cooperation in various fields were discussed.
Qureshi, Lavrov lead Pakistan-Russian delegation-level talks in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The delegation-level talks between Pakistan and Russia are in progress at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Islamabad on Wednesday, the Dispatch News Desk (DND) news agency reported.
In the talks, the Pakistani side is being headed by the Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi while the Russian delegation by its Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
The two sides are discussing ways to strengthen Pakistan-Russia bilateral relations and deepen their multi-faceted cooperation.
Talking to the Russian delegation, Qureshi welcomed them on their arrival in Pakistan and expressed sorrow over the loss of human lives in Russia due to COVID-19.
Russia wants early launch of North-South Gas Pipeline with Pakistan

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has said that Russia is desirous to the early launch of the North-South Gas Pipeline Project with Pakistan, the Dispatch News Desk (DND) news agency reported.
While addressing the Joint Press Conference along with the Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Islamabad on Wednesday following delegation-level talks, Sergey Lavrov said that Russia wants to enhance the volume of bilateral trade with Pakistan.
The Russian foreign minister said that we have provided Pakistan 50,000 COVID-19 vaccine doses, and intends to provide further 1,50,000 doses.

RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov met the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa at Pakistan army’s general headquarters in Rawalpindi on Wednesday, the Dispatch News Desk (DND) news agency reported.
During the meeting, matters of mutual interest including enhanced defence and security cooperation, regional security, particularly the Afghan peace process were discussed, as per the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The visiting dignitary acknowledged Pakistan’s achievements in the war against terrorism and contributions for regional peace and stability especially Pakistan’s sincere efforts in the Afghan Peace Process.
