Subhash Chandra Bose was a Nationalist leader who wanted complete and unconditional Independence for India. Born on 23rd January 1897, Bose was a highly educated man.
Baptist Mission s Protestant European School in Cuttack was the first institution he attended. He then went to Ravenshaw Collegiate School followed by Presidency College in Kolkata. Bose also attended Scottish Church College. He graduated from University of Calcutta in Philosophy. Bose also did B.A Mental and Moral Sciences Tripos from University of Cambridge.
After a fallout with top leaders in Congress, Netaji went to Germany back in 1941. Netaji used to give inspirational addresses on Free India Radio which he set up with the help of Germans. Although, Japanese victory in Southeast Asia meant that Bose had to gain their support to free India by defeating British forces back home.

New Delhi, Jan 21 : With Assembly elections in West Bengal around the corner, the Congress too has now jumped into the political fray after BJP and TMC to claim Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose s legacy, by promising to build his tallest statue in the eastern state.
Congress West Bengal affairs incharge Jitin Prasada said: The BJP is now thinking of Netaji when the Assembly elections are nearing. Why did it not build his statue in the last six years, like Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel s statue in Gujarat? The Congress will build the tallest statue of Netaji if voted to power in the state.

Leaders of de-notified communities have warned of serious backlash if the State government unilaterally announced exclusive reservation for Vanniyars among the Most Backward Communities.
The Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) has demanded 20% exclusive reservation for Vanniyars in government jobs and higher education.“Southern districts will literally burn if the reservation for Vanniyars is declared without caste-based census,” said one of its leaders and former All India Forward Bloc MLA P.V. Kathiravan.
A few hundred members belonging to many of the 68 DNCs staged an impromptu agitation on Madurai railway junction premises demanding to declare them as de-notified tribes. “We do not want two certificates - DNCs for State government and De-notified Tribes for the Centre,” he said.

Nagpur: A Public outreach seminar on the three anti-farmer laws was organized by Bharatiya Maharashtra Rajya Kisaan Sangharsh Samanvay Samiti, at Tilak Sabhagruha, Bajaj Nagar. The seminar is first of its kind in Nagpur, and was organized in an attempt to explain the laws to common people and help them understand how the laws are not just Anti-farmers but Anti-people in nature. The guest speakers for the seminar were noted farmer leaders like Vijay Javandiya from Shetkari Sanghatna, Dr. Harish Dhurat from Rashtriya Kashtakari Panchayat. Another distinguished speaker in the seminar who covered the legal aspect of these legislations was Mr. Tejinder Singh Raval, a Chartered Accountant by Profession, a law expert and an economist.
