The traders’ associations wrote to Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal and Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday, expressing their concern about the COVID implications and requesting an extension until May 17. A few traders groups agreed to go on a voluntary lockout for the next week in their respective areas in the national capital during a meeting called by the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT). However, some traders want the Delhi government to issue a formal statement stating that the lockdown will be strictly enforced.
