Why was this even necessary? - Sara posting about ‘All Lives Matter’
Idk if she doesn’t know what that actually means or what, but this was just so unnecessary. Honestly Sara seems to be much more, I guess ‘informed’ about certain issues around her compared to many of her contemporaries. So seeing a statement like this was honestly disappointing. While she did delete the post after, the post still gained attention for its rather insensitive meaning.
If you don’t already know, ‘All Lives Matter’ is a phrase that has widely been used by people in a way to undermine the ‘Black Lives Matter’ movement, a movement protesting against police brutality and racism against people who’re black.
A required Zoom lecture at a public university in New York City quickly devolved into a pro-Palestinian protest, as several students and at least one professor hijacked the planned curriculum and read out what has been described as anti-Semitic tropes about the conflict in Israel and the Gaza Strip.

A Florida high school halted the distribution of its yearbook over a section dedicated to the Black Lives Matter movement.
David Fleischer, who is the yearbook adviser at West Broward High School in Pembroke Pines, said the students were told that they had to stop handing out the yearbooks on Friday to allow school officials to review concerns about two pages that covered the racial justice movement, CNN reported.
“I found out that it was because there were some complaints from teachers and from parents about the content of the BLM page,” Fleischer told the outlet.
