SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) McCook County School District is looking for donations to help its kindergartners learn to ride a bike.
The district is raising money to bring in the All Kids Bike PE program to the district. The national program provides bikes, helmets and step-by-step training to teach kids to ride a bike. 81 schools in South Dakota are already using the program.
“The bikes would be great for these students and allow them to ride it to school on our new trail system we put in place this past year,” Principal Debra Eichacker said in a release. “The new trail goes to the school, city park, downtown, and our track/football field. It will provide a safe and reliable way for our kids to come to school on time.”

Kindergarteners at Shands Elementary School in Mesquite
may soon be riding bikes in their PE classes with the help from an organization on a mission to teach every child in America how to ride a bike.
What that organization is trying to do across Texas and the country is Something Good.
The organization, All Kids Bike equips schools with everything they need to teach children how to ride: teacher training and certification, a structured 8-lesson curriculum, and a fleet of brand-new bikes and helmets.
