(April 7, 2021) Updated 8:00 PM; ♦ The Morris Museum at 6 Normandy Heights Road in Morristown will feature figurative and kinetic metal sculptures in a group exhibit titled “Natural Essence Motion Perceived” opening Saturday, April 10, and running through Aug. 15. Featured in the show will be Brooklyn artist Alexandra Limpert, who crafts life-size-and-larger human figures and other life forms in steel. Her works include insects with moving wings, reptiles climbing the walls with clingy claws and human anatomy depictions. Other artists exhibiting will be Gianluca Bianchino, Sui Park and Rein Triefeldt.

Coronavirus in N.J.: What’s reopened, what concerts, festivals and shows are rescheduled, canceled. (March 31, 2021) Updated Mar 31, 2021; While still in a holding pattern on presenting future productions, Crossroads Theatre Company invites audiences to revisit its past online. The New Brunswick-based theater will post “Crossroads: The Story of a Theatre” on its website for on-demand viewing from April 6 to May 2. The hourlong documentary was produced by NJN, the New Jersey Network, in 1996, filmed in the years just following Crossroad’s move to its previous home at 7 Livingston Ave. (It has seen moved to its home at the new New Brunswick Performing Arts Center). The documentary traces Crossroads’ history through archival footage, photographs and interviews, including some of the stars that have graced its stage, such as Ruby Dee and Ossie Davis .
