Japan imposes caps on some arrival flights NHK has learned that Japan s government has imposed limits on flights from nations where coronavirus variants are rampant, as part of efforts to stop them at the border. People arriving from those countries are required to take PCR tests and stay at designated accommodations near airports before they head off to their destinations. The government has asked airlines to limit passenger numbers on direct flights from variant-hit regions to ensure that quarantine measures are properly implemented. The cap per flight from India is 100. For flights from France, the cap is 100 per flight and 133 per week.
