On December 12, 2020 shortly after 12:00 a.m., members of the Temiskaming Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police responded to a call for a motor vehicle collision south of Cemetery Road, in the Township of Coleman.
Further investigation revealed that an All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) and a train were travelling northbound, when the ATV got stuck on the railroad tracks. The train crew was not able to stop the train immediately and the ATV and train collided. The ATV driver jumped off and fled the scene.

GALLATIN COUNTY, Ill. (KFVS) - One person was injured in a single vehicle crash in Gallatin County Saturday night.
At approximately 8 p.m., a 2007 Gray Yamaha, All Terrain Vehicle driven by Christopher Smith, 40, of Shawneetown, was traveling on Big Barn Road approximately 200 feet southeast of Mouth Road.
Smith lost control and overturned.
He was transported to a local area hospital to be treated for his injuries.
