âOvercooked: All You Can Eatâ review: a generous serving of comfort food thatâs lacking in tasty new treats

Looking back on 2020, it feels like most of this never-ending year has revolved around cooking. From the early days of lockdown where I felt motivated to experiment with new dishes, to slowly watching myself morph into something akin to a one-man Uber Eats investor, cooking â or my embarrassing lack thereof â has been one of 2020âs few constants.
Now, just as this nightmarish year crawls to an agonising end, a new console generation begins â and I find myself back in the kitchen once again. This time around though, things are a little different. Yesterday morning, we possibly witnessed the epic conclusion to this year’s season of games, with the annual videogame awards show - The Game Awards 2020. Hosted by industry titan - Geoff Keighley, the awards ceremony was unlike no (any) other events this year, and featured musical performances from renowned artists, top-shelf celebrity appearances, plentiful awards and a whole bunch of new game reveals. Broadcasted from 3 different studio locations (Los Angeles, London and Tokyo), this year’s event did not have an in-person audience and was held in an online digital fashion, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Despite the missing ambience, what Geoff was able to pull off here, with the professional studio setting and the well-organized event breakdown was quite impressive, and deserves every bit of praise! We wouldn’t be mad if he kept one of the trophies for himself.
