Nebraska ranked third in the Big Ten with two selections to the 18-player first team, and the Huskers had multiple first-team honorees for the first time since 2016. Andrews was also named to the 11-player Big Ten All-Freshman Team. Maryland’s Jaeda McFarland, a second-team All-Big Ten pick, was the Big Ten Freshman of the Year, while Michigan’s Lexie Blair was selected as the Big Ten Player of the Year and the Wolverines’ Alex Storako was the conference pitcher of the year. Michigan head coach Carol Hutchins was named the Big Ten Coach of the Year for the 18th time in her career.

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State head coach Kevin McGuff has filled one of his two assistant coaching positions by announcing the hiring of Wesley Brooks.
Brooks comes to Columbus after a four-year stint with Michigan, where he helped guide the Wolverines to three-straight NCAA Tournament appearances and coached five All-Big Ten performers at the guard and wing positions.
“I am so excited to join Ohio State Women’s Basketball program,” said Brooks. “I believe Kevin McGuff is one of the best coaches in the country and the opportunity to learn from him and is exciting. Year after year, Kevin has Ohio State at the top of the Big Ten Conference and competing championships. In addition, I truly believe the state of Ohio is one of the deepest and richest states in the country when it comes to women’s basketball and I am excited to continue building relationships and keeping that talent at home.”

BAKERSFIELD, CA - Oilers 2020 first-round draft pick Dylan Holloway will finish the season with the Bakersfield Condors after signing an amateur tryout contract (ATO) on Monday.
The forward from Bragg Creek, Alberta signed a three-year entry-level contract (ELC) with Edmonton on April 16 after completing his sophomore season with the University of Wisconsin Badgers, scoring 11 goals and 24 assists in 23 games. Holloway s ELC will start in the 2021-22 campaign.
The 19-year-old, selected 14th overall by Edmonton last October, ranked fifth in NCAA scoring and fourth in points per game among players who made 10 or more appearances.
Antigua is rejoining the program as associate coach. Coleman will be an assistant coach.
LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky men’s basketball coaching staff has undergone an offseason transformation with a familiar face in Orlando Antigua returning to the UK bench and another top assistant from Illinois in Ronald “Chin” Coleman coming onboard.
Antigua, a key assistant in the first five seasons of the John Calipari era at Kentucky, has rejoined the program as associate coach. Coleman is also headed to Lexington via Illinois after four seasons with the Illini and will be an assistant coach.
Contracts will be finalized pending university completion of pre-employment screenings.
