Then on Sunday evening, I was back to Owerri to join the Imo State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial campaign train of Hon Emeka Ihedioha that was to hit his Aboh-Mbaise-Ngor Okpala Federal Constituency the next day.

Even though the governors spoke on insecurity in their region and also chided the federal government for not consulting them before security operatives carried out some recent offensives, they were short of mentioning the names of those fomenting trouble in the South East and South West.
The leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi who was taken to court on Tuesday last week after he was extradited was not mentioned by the 17 southern governors.
Also, the name of Yoruba secessionist, Sunday Igboho, whose house was raided by operatives of the State Security Service (SSS), was also not mentioned in the communiqué issued by the southern governors.

The Anambra governorship election is scheduled for November 6.
By picking Okeke who is from Anambra central, Ubah is trying “nullify bloc votes from outspoken political bigwigs”, a source said.
Some of these top politicians from the area are Chris Ngige, minister of labour and employment; Uche Ekwunife, serving senator, and Victor Umeh, former chairman of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).

The source said Ubah is looking at running an “inclusive administration” if he is elected as governor.
“Senator Ubah is not a man who restricts himself to stereotypes when he is committed to excellence,” the source said.
“You can see it reflected in his businesses which has made him very successful.
