Who Wants Soludo Dead?
The former Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, is the official candidate of the ruling All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in the November 6th gubernatorial poll in Anambra State. Soludo, in the event of victory come November, would be succeeding the incumbent APGA Governor, Willie Obiano, whose second four-year tenure is billed constitutionally to end at the end of the year. Soludo remains, in the eye of the bookmakers, the candidate to beat in the forthcoming guber poll.
His candidacy is considered solid and favourite given the incumbency factor in his favour and the fact that APGA has established itself as a political party implanted in the hearts and minds of ‘Ndi-Anambra’. One by one, the indigenes of Arochukwu in Arochukwu Local Government Area of Abia State took turns to eulogise the lives and times of the departed first-class traditional ruler.
The Chairman, Aro National Rites of Passage Committee, Prof Okoro Ijeoma, described the deceased king as highly talented, educated, relaxed and very respectful.
He said the late traditional ruler sacrificed a lot for the peace of his community.
Prof Okoro used the occasion to draw the attention of the federal government to the deplorable state of Arochukwu/Ohafia highway.
He said the completion of the road would be the best way to immortalise the highly respected late monarch.

The Progressive Circle of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bauchi State chapter, on Thursday revealed that the group was formed to promote politics without bitterness not only among party members but also in the larger political community.
Chairman of the circle, Alhaji Surajo Dada stated this in an interview with DAILY POST, adding that the group was also working towards ensuring the survival and sustainability of democracy in Bauchi State.
To actualise this, Dada informed that the Progressive Circle would identify credible people and encourage the party to give them its tickets to vie for legislative and executive seats in order for the APC to make a difference in the state in the next round of general election in 2023.

Could you please tell us what happened last week Wednesday when there was said to have been an attack on you?
It was quite a sad day and a day of deep reflection. As a Catholic, on Wednesday, we had the Diocesan Chrism Mass, and we followed that up with a scheduled town hall interactive meeting with the youths of Isuofia and it commenced at about 4pm. Being an interactive session, after the introductory session by the youth president, I took the floor to make my own preliminary remarks and that was supposed to be followed by comments, questions and answers.
