Some counties and hospitals are changing their plans for COVID-19 vaccinations.
According to officials, snowy weather has prompted the cancellation of COVID-19 vaccinations at the University of Maryland Medical Center Downtown and Midtown campuses for Sunday and Monday. Vaccination appointments will be rescheduled.
VA Maryland is encouraging veterans to come Saturday due to Sunday s snow forecast. According to officials, they have already vaccinated close to 350 people and still have vaccine doses left.
The VA is trying to get as many veterans vaccinated today as possible since the snow may keep some people home tomorrow. The VA wants to encourage veterans to come Saturday and will be operating a walk-in clinic until 4 p.m.
