Community Search For Missing Man Scheduled For Wednesday

Eagle Country 99.3 By Travis Thayer Photos provided. (St. Leon, Ind.) – Community members are coming together to help search for a missing Dearborn County man. John Werner, 43, was reported missing on February 12. Werner was last seen at his residence on Trojan Road in northern Dearborn County. This past Saturday, Texas EquuaSearch Midwest came into the area to comb the grounds, but freezing temperatures and residual snow hindered the search. Crews are continuing to search the area, and a community search has been scheduled for Wednesday, February 24. Individuals 18 and older are invited to participate in the search. Volunteers will meet at the American Legion Hall Post 464 in the shelter behind the building in St. Leon at 3:30 p.m.

(FOX19) - Dearborn County Sheriff Shane McHenry said they are searching for a missing man who was last seen on Feb. 12. McHenry said 43-year-old John Werner was last seen at his residence on Trojan Road in Northern Dearborn County. On Feb. 15, deputies searched the surrounding area and were unable to locate any leads or Werner. According to McHenry, no foul play is suspected at this time. He has brown eyes, light brown hair, between 5′7″ and 5′9″ and 220 pounds.

Heavy police presence was reported near North Dearborn and Haas Road area around 3:00 p.m. According to the Sheriff s Office, the suspect is a white male in his mid-40’s, wearing a black hat, black East Central sweatshirt with red letters, gray scarf and blue jeans.  Community members are asked to use caution and report suspicious activity to 911. Multiple Agencies Battle Large Barn Fire In Lawrenceburg

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – Lawrenceburg Fire Department has released more information about a fully involved barn fire on Thursday. Firefighters responded to the blaze along State Road 48 at Keller Road around 2:00 p.m. Upon arrival, heavy fire was coming from a large barn. Two attack lines were deployed for fire attack and exposure control. The barn was a total loss, but firefighters were able to prevent the fire from spreading to nearby structures. No injuries were reported. State Road 48 was closed for multiple hours while firefighters worked to contain the blaze.  Lawrenceburg Fire Department was assisted at the scene by Lawrenceburg EMS, Manchester Fire Department, Aurora Fire Department, Miller York Fire Department, LMU, and the Dearborn County Sheriff’s Office.
