A play store update to the Android Beta Feedback app has been spotted.
Android 12 could be rolled out by the end of this year.
Shortly after rolling out the Android 11 for selected users, Google is gearing up to launch the Android 12 developer preview. As per a report by 9to5, a play store update to the Android Beta Feedback app has been spotted. Google has not officially revealed anything about the Android 12 but such as apps are usually used to deliver feedbacks on Android beta builds.
Google has updated its Android Beta Feedback app via the Play Store in preparation for the eventual release of Android 12.
Since the creation of Android 10/Q back in 2019, the tech giant launched the Android Beta Feedback app, which allows users to report bugs without the trouble of going to its bug tracker website. This app appears automatically when a user downloads the developer preview/beta app that launched last year.
Those who didn’t uninstall the feedback app after the preview program will now get it updated to version 2.15.
Even though the app received an update, it’s still unusable and doesn’t explicitly hint at the Android 12 Developer Preview/Beta. However, the update itself is still a sign that the Android 12 Developer Beta is on its way.
The first Android 12 Developer Preview could land sometime soon if a recent app update is any indicator. The Android Beta Feedback app, which has been bundled with the Android preview and beta releases since Android 10 Q, just got an update at the Play Store. With last year s Beta program long over, there s probably only one reason Google would be pushing an update for the app: Android 12 is coming soon.
You don t need to be Nostradamus to make this particular prediction; just look at a calendar. Android Developer Previews usually land around this time. It used to happen in March, but last year Google pulled things forward to February, and that s a trend that could continue, based on today s evidence. But either way, a release was expected to happen in the next 4-6 weeks.
