Winners of AHSF’s Creativity Award for Children, Youth announced

AMMAN The Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation (AHSF) on Thursday announced the winners of the 17th session of the Creativity Award for Children and Youth “Abde’”, which aims to “formulate strong tendency for creativity and knowledge”.
This award is dedicated for children and youth in the literary, technical, scientific innovation and performance fields, according to the AHSF website
It gears towards “promoting a culture of creativity, through the discovery of talented and distinguished children and youth at an early stage”.
The award covers four fields, including literary creativity, artistic creativity, performance art and scientific innovation. The award was established in 1988, for children between the ages of eight and 18, with the aim to encourage creative potential and children’s brain development, according to organisers.
Dialogue session hears of digital transformation efforts in Jordan

AMMAN The Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation (AHSF) on Monday hosted a dialogue session, titled “Digital Transformation Efforts in Jordan”, with Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship Ahmad Hanandeh underscoring the ministry’s efforts and progress in the adoption of digital technology.
The minister, in his opening remarks, said that the ministry is working towards enabling digital transformation for governmental entities, through building an adequate infrastructure
Moderated by Yazan Hijazi, director of the Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurial Excellence at Al Hussein Technical University, the session focussed on the national strategy for digital transformation.
Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation celebrates 3 decades of cinema experience

AMMAN The Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation (AHSF) on Tuesday held an event to celebrate the 30th anniversary of its cinema, representing a “vibrant centre and an artistic milieu” for cinematic culture.
“Cinema is life. It enables us to experience the roles and lives of others, visit different countries and get familiar with their versions of challenges, hardships and joy,” AHSF’s CEO Valentina Kassisieh said at the event.
Kassisieh added that the foundation has gradually started returning to its activities and film screenings while adhering to safety and physical distancing measures.
