Scott, 57, will retire at the end of this school year after a 35-year career as an English teacher, all with Plain Local Schools.

CANTON TWP. The Canton Local Schools Board of Education is seeking applicants for the position of superintendent.
According to a news release from the district, the board is looking for a strong educational leader who has effective communication and people skills, expertise in school business operations, and demonstrates support for all district programs in academics, athletics and arts.
The new superintendent must hold an Ohio superintendent certificate/license. Candidates should possess a strong public school administrative background. The successful candidate must be committed to the highest personal and professional standards and must provide evidence of success in the eight key areas addressed in the posting.
