Gun buyback is May 15 at Civic Center

CANTON – The Canton Police Department in collaboration with the Stark County Prosecutor Safer Streets Initiative will host a Community Gun Buyback on May 15.
The event will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Civic Center, according to a news release.
All guns must be operable to be eligible for a $100 Walmart gift card.
Guns are to be unloaded and transported in the trunk of the vehicle.
Everyone is to stay in their vehicle, and a volunteer will come out and exchange their weapon for a gift card.
Gift cards will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. The buyback is open to Stark County residents only. There will be no questions asked. No ID is required.
