Varanasi: A team of Lucknow police pasted the notice of property attachment at the house of mafia don-turned-politician Dhananjay Singh, an accused in Ajit Singh murder case who was recently declared absconder by the court barely a few hours before his wife Shrikala Reddy took oath of the office of chairman of zila panchayat in Jaunpur on Monday. Shrikala, however, termed the Sunday evening police action as ‘nothing serious’.
Dhananjay is wanted for alleged involvement as conspirator in the sensational murder of history-sheeter Ajit Singh in Lucknow on January 6. Lucknow police had also announced a cash reward of Rs 25,000 on him. On July 6, he was declared absconder by the CJM court, Lucknow.
