KUALA LUMPUR (April 30): Based on corporate announcements and news flow today, companies that may be in focus on Monday (May 3) include: FGV Holdings Bhd, MSM Malaysia Holdings Bhd, IHH Healthcare Bhd, Mr DIY Group (M) Bhd, Priceworth International Bhd, KLCCP Stapled Group, Sapura Resources Bhd, Sapura Energy Bhd, Malayan Banking Bhd, Al- Aqar Healthcare REIT, Top Glove Corp Bhd, Fajarbaru Builder Group Bhd and Sarawak Oil Palms Bhd. FGV Holdings Bhd s (FGV) subsidiaries, MSM Malaysia Holdings Bhd (MSM) and FGV Integrated Farming Holdings Sdn Bhd (FGVIF), have entered into a binding term sheet on the respective disposal and acquisition of a 100% stake of MSM s wholly-owned subsidiary MSM Perlis Sdn Bhd. With an initial disposal consideration of RM175 million, the agreement is set to be completed by the third quarter of this year.

52-week high: Stock market update: 57 stocks hit 52-week highs on NSE

Explore Now Benchmark NSE Nifty index was trading 14.60 points up at 14311.00 on Thursday on account of buying in frontline bluechip counters. Among the stocks that touched their 52-week highs on NSE were: Apollo Hospitals, Arvee Laboratories, Cadila, NBI Industrial Finance, Neuland Laboratories, Orient Refractories, RPG Life Sciences, Wipro, Tata Steel Long Products and Supreme Petrochem. Overall, 25 shares were trading in green in Nifty50 index, while 24 were trading in red in the afternoon trade. In the Nifty 50 index, Tata Steel, Wipro, JSW Steel, ICICI Bank and BPCL were among top gainers, while Titan Company , M&M, Shree Cements, HUL and Tech Mahindra were trading in red.

IIFL Finance Ltd witnessed volume of 3.58 lakh shares by 10:49 IST on BSE, a 21.61 times surge over two-week average daily volume of 16553 shares Kalpataru Power Transmission Ltd, Astrazeneca Pharma India Ltd, Shilpa Medicare Ltd, Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd are among the other stocks to see a surge in volumes on BSE today, 22 April 2021. IIFL Finance Ltd witnessed volume of 3.58 lakh shares by 10:49 IST on BSE, a 21.61 times surge over two-week average daily volume of 16553 shares. The stock dropped 2.33% to Rs.245.40. Volumes stood at 14892 shares in the last session. Kalpataru Power Transmission Ltd registered volume of 1.38 lakh shares by 10:49 IST on BSE, a 7.45 fold spurt over two-week average daily volume of 18562 shares. The stock slipped 0.60% to Rs.354.00. Volumes stood at 8363 shares in the last session.

Healthcare shares gain

Healthcare stocks were trading in the positive zone, with the S&P BSE Healthcare index rising 90.64 points or 0.42% at 21619.17 at 09:49 IST. Among the components of the S&P BSE Healthcare index, Neuland Laboratories Ltd (up 6.87%), Shalby Ltd (up 5.5%),Indraprastha Medical Corporation Ltd (up 5.07%),IOL Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd (up 4.24%),Thyrocare Technologies Ltd (up 3.98%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Suven Life Sciences Ltd (up 3.75%), Dr Lal Pathlabs Ltd (up 3.39%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd (up 3.33%), Poly Medicure Ltd (up 3.21%), and Indoco Remedies Ltd (up 3%). On the other hand, Take Solutions Ltd (down 3.6%), Astrazeneca Pharma India Ltd (down 3.21%), and Gufic BioSciences Ltd (down 2.07%) moved lower.
