Meet the lunch lady of Oregon City s Linn Avenue
Jannine James answers call from God to distribute free food in response to COVID crisis.
Since April 11, Jannine James has handed out six to 10 free lunches every day except Sundays.
On the morning of the first day she put out sacks of food in front of her house, James asked God, What do you want me to do during this coronavirus pandemic? She would soon become known throughout the Oregon City as the lunch lady of Linn Avenue. My prayer was to get food to single moms and people who lost their jobs due to COVID, she said.
