(WWNY) - Watertown police say a convicted felon, who they arrested on burglary charges Thursday, was the victim of an assault. Police arrested 35 year old Ross Pierce in connection with a November break-in at 306 Factory Street, a building used for storage. While Pierce awaiting arraignment, police said he became lethargic and told them he had been shot the night before. According to police, Pierce allowed officers to look at his injuries, which included bruises to his torso. He also had Band-Aids covering areas where he claimed he had been shot, said police, who thought the wounds were caused by a BB or pellet gun.
