Election 2021: City council candidates

In May s general election, one of the races voters will be making their voices heard on is who will be four members of the city council for Amarillo for the next term. The new members of the city council will join the person elected to be Amarillo s mayor, a race which is also on May s election ballot. A preview for that specific race ran previously in print and is available on the Amarillo Globe-News website. The Globe-News reached out to all 12 candidates running for the four places on Amarillo s city council. Each candidate was asked a set of questions via email, and those answers are presented in a question and answer format below.

Beginning Monday, individuals will be able to vote early in both Potter and Randall counties for the upcoming May 1 election, with the ballot including numerous city and school related races throughout the city of Amarillo and the city of Canyon.  The Amarillo Globe-News has compiled all the information you need to know prior to casting your ballot for May election. Amarillo May general election: Here s what to know for ballot, voting

After the application process ended Friday afternoon for individuals to put themselves into consideration for various positions up for vote in the May election, ranging from various school boards to Amarillo City Council, numerous entities reported to the Amarillo Globe-News the individuals who will be on the ballot for each respective entity.  The Amarillo Globe-News has compiled all the information you need to know prior to participating in general election, which is scheduled for May 1.  Amarillo Independent School District Board of Trustees Officials from Amarillo ISD stated that applications for the four open seats on the district s board of trustees were received from:
