As the weather is getting better and better the only thing we want to do is get outside. Here we are in May and finally the last couple of days finally we are seeing spring type weather. The weekend is here and we also want things to fill up our calendar.
How about this? As we are going to be in the 80 s today nothing screams let s get outdoors more than a movie night. This event was supposed to happen last week but our rainy weather made them have to reschedule. This is just a perfect day.

Symphony Guild hosting 2021 ball
The Amarillo Symphony Guild is hosting its 2021 Symphony Ball at 6 p.m., Saturday, May 15, at the Amarillo Country Club, 4800 Bushland Blvd.
Enjoy dinner and dance until midnight along with Party Machine a premier Dallas band, at this black-tie event.

Yellow Rose Festival Dance set for May 15
The TopTex and Club square and round dance Yellow Rose Festival Dance is scheduled for Saturday, May 15, at the Danc n Center, 2223 S. Polk St.
Starting at 7:30 p.m. will be the request rounds with James Novak. At 8 p.m. will be the Grand March with Jerry Gilbreath.

From now into June is typically the most colorful of the seasons for local gardens. So now is the time to make a special effort to enjoy the beauty of local spring gardens.
There are the obvious places – the Amarillo Botanical Gardens, Master Gardener demonstration gardens, and various pocket gardens around town. These are downtown, at churches, and businesses, but there are also many more gardens tended by gardeners all over town. Don’t just look for massive plantings of brightly colored flowers. Green is a color, too, and some gardeners opt for shape and texture rather than or in addition to color.
