Children who took part in an online safety campaign have been rewarded for their artistic efforts. The campaign, which was launched to help parents learn how to protect their children online, hosted a competition involving local schools to design posters highlighting the key issues around online safety. The NSPCC, Blackburn Children’s University, Blackburn with Darwen Council and Youth Action on the Safety Net campaign, which was launched last year with an online safety advice shared on a digital display screen in Blackburn town centre, followed by an online survey to allow parents and children to identify their fears about internet safety and help shape the future of the ongoing campaign.
