Rep Matt Gaetz Says He Will Challenge Electoral College Votes on Jan 6

Rep. Matt Gaetz Says He Will Challenge Electoral College Votes on Jan. 6 Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) said on Dec. 19 that he plans to challenge electoral votes when they are counted during a joint session of Congress on Jan. 6. “On January 6, I’m joining with the fighters in the Congress, and we are going to object to electors from states that didn’t run clean elections,” Gaetz told a crowd during the first day of Turning Point USA’s Student Action Summit, held in West Palm Beach, Florida. Republicans in Congress are considering whether to join the effort to challenge the 2020 general election results. Rep. Mo Brooks (R-Ala.) initiated the push when he announced his intention to object to the electoral votes come January, while several other Republican lawmakers from both chambers have remained open to participating in the effort.

Extensive Fraud in Election: Trump Attorney

‘Extensive Fraud’ in Election: Trump Attorney This year’s election is unusual in a number of ways. But one of them dueling electors actually has precedent in U.S. history. And it could indicate how things might play out. There are dueling slates of electors in 7 states where electoral votes are officially for Biden. One of Trump’s attorneys says there is a historical precedent for the Trump electors in those states to have their votes counted when Congress selects the president. The last time it happened was in 1960, when Nixon won Hawaii and the governor certified the votes, but Kennedy eventually won the state after a legal battle and Congress counted Kennedy’s votes instead.

Courts Haven t Decided Facts on Voter Fraud, Found Excuses to Dismiss Trump s Cases: Rand Paul

Courts Haven’t Decided Facts on Voter Fraud, Found Excuses to Dismiss Trump’s Cases: Rand Paul Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) rejected the notion that courts have “decided the facts” amid allegations of election fraud during the Nov. 3 election. “The courts have not decided the facts,” Paul said during an election integrity hearing on Wednesday. “The courts never looked at the facts. The courts don’t like elections, and they stayed out of it by finding an excuse.” The Kentucky senator went on to say that courts mainly rejected lawsuits from President Donald Trump’s team or other election-related lawsuits on procedural grounds.
