Commercial Collection Agencies of America Gives Back, a portion of the proceeds of its virtual annual meeting has been given to Mental Health Advocates of WNY, formerly known as the Mental Health Association of Erie, New York.
Since 1962, the Mental Health Advocates of WNY, Inc. has provided essential programs and services to seniors, adults, families and children in Erie County. It also supports advocacy and intervention in schools, workplaces, treatment agencies, courts and homes.

SALT LAKE CITY A woman was arrested after police say she shot her 2-year-old son, then herself, near Fantasy Canyon in central Uintah County on Monday.
Sheriff s deputies were dispatched on Monday around 2:30 p.m. to the area of Fantasy Canyon after a shooting was reported, officials said. Initial reports indicated it involved a young boy around age 3 and a 40-year-old woman.
Valerie Peck, 40, was identified Tuesday in a statement by Uintah County Chief Deputy Brian Fletcher as the woman involved in the shooting.
Peck took her 2-year-old son, Zack, on a drive Monday morning in Dry Fork Canyon, according to Fletcher. She stopped near a camping area north of Dry Fork on Red Cloud Loop Road.

Most Americans recently surveyed say that they understand that suicide is preventable and that they would act to help someone they know who is at risk.
Yet many of us are afraid to do the wrong thing. In fact, you don t have to be a trained professional to help, says Doreen Marshall, a psychologist and vice president of programs at the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
