This year’s theme is “Keeping Health Information Human.”
During HIP Week, health information professionals engage in focused activities at their healthcare organizations and in their communities to raise awareness of their work. In addition, health systems recognize the accomplishments of their health-information team during HIP Week.

JEDDAH The King Abdulaziz University signed on Tuesday a cooperation agreement with American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA).
The agreement was virtually co-signed by the university s vice president for Development, Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Talhi and the Chief Executive Officer for AHIMA, Dr. Wylecia Wiggs Harris.
According to Dr. Al-Talhi, the agreement aims to develop academic curricula to be in line with the needs of the labor market and to raise the competence level of the department staff and students in the field of health information management and medical coding, which has assumed great significance due to exceptional circumstances that the whole world is going through as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

Franciscan Health Michigan City has scheduled two blood drives to help make up for the lack of donations taking place at workplaces and schools during a time of remote work and e-learning.
Versiti Blood Center will accept donations outside Entrance A at the hospital, at 3500 Franciscan Way, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Jan. 27 and from 2 to 6 p.m. Jan. 28.
