1. You’ll Have a Healthier Heart
A study presented at the American Heart Association Scientific Sessions 2016 that followed 80,000 participants for six years found that moderate drinkers had the slowest decline in high-density lipoprotein (HDL) or good cholesterol levels, which in turn meant that they had a lower risk of cardiovascular disease. A ward of warning though, moderate intake means a pint a day, so put down that yard of ale.
