Remembering veterans seemingly forgotten in Killeen

Updated: 2:32 AM CST December 18, 2020 KILLEEN, Texas Under the early afternoon Texas sun, you can find Terrance Sateren as he surveys the landscape of the Killeen City Cemetery ahead of Wreaths Across America Day, a chance for Americans to lay a wreath at the grave of a veteran. They did their job. They did their service for us and now I feel it is my time to give them respect, Sateren said. A veterans wreath is very particular and carries an abundance of meaning. It has 10 Balsam Bouquets which represents 10 special qualities that veterans embody. The Evergreen it is made with symbolizes longevity and endurance, great sacrifice is represented by a red bow at the top and the scent of the wreath is indicative of purity and simplicity and the circular shape represents eternity.

The Supremes Surrender! – Veterans Today | Military Foreign Affairs Policy Journal for Clandestine Services

With every respect the Supreme Court’s decision not to even hear Texas v. Pennsylvania is baffling. Texas Attorney-General Ken Paxton, a good man with respect, and a fine lawyer, assembled some pretty powerful arguments. Whilst Texas, and the states supporting her, could not be heard to complain about the conduct of state elections in other states they had every right to complain about the corrupt conduct in other states of federal elections. This is not the first time the US legal system has buckled of course. There was the same with respect unprincipled resort to arguments about standing when the DVD got their Manchurian candidate Barack ‘von’ Obama elected in 2008. I am aware of course that Senator Ben Sasse (R-NE) has convinced himself that Barack Obama was born in Honolulu and is a US Citizen, which is absurd, no offense intended. Thankfully Senator Sasse isn’t a believer in perpetual incumbency, which in his case is probably just as well.
