By Charter, he will also serve as a member of the Board of Estimates. Shea will assume his post as City Solicitor in January 2021.“Jim brings unmatched legal and civic experience to City Hall, and he is committed to charting a new course for Baltimore,” said Mayor Brandon M. Senate Republicans confirm Trump nominee to replace Amy Coney Barrett vacancy on appeals court Anthony Leonardi
Senate Republicans gave President Trump another victory in the form of judge appointments.
On Tuesday, the Senate confirmed Thomas Kirsch II, the U.S. attorney for the Northern District of Indiana, by a vote of 51-44 to replace a vacancy left by Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett on the Court of appeals for the Seventh Circuit.
The White House announced that Kirsch, an Indiana University and Harvard Law graduate, was Trump s pick for the vacancy months ago, but formally sent notice about his nomination last month.
