Hannah Hughes of Fort Scott, Kansas, was awarded the American Quarter Horse Foundation’s Farm & Ranch Heritage Scholarship in 2019. Hannah is the daughter of Donna and Rod Hughes and attends Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College, where she majors in equine management.
Working with Quarter Horses runs deep in this family.
“My grandfather Charles Menker played a big role in how I view the world, especially the horse world. As an AQHA honorary vice president, he served on the Youth Activities Committee for 35 years,” says Hannah.
