When it comes to
showing halter horses, we all make mistakes. It doesn’t matter whether you’re a pro or a rookie, you’re going to mess up every once in a while. But if you know how to keep your eye open for mistakes before they happen, maybe you can prevent them.
Here AQHA Professional Horsemen share the top five mistakes are that most halter exhibitors make, and how to avoid them.

It is operated by Rob and Cathy Robertson, and is located in Monterey, Virginia, which is on the western edge of the state near West Virginia, and about 200 miles from Washington D.C.
Rob’s family has nurtured their ranch land for more than 200 years, which sits in a valley between two mountains. The rugged, mountainous terrain nourishes both the cattle and the horses that are raised there, as it has for generations.
