7-Year-Old Girl Dies After Dog Attack in North Carolina: Horrible Tragedy On 4/28/21 at 11:57 AM EDT A child has died and her mother hospitalized after they were attacked by at least one dog in North Carolina on Tuesday. Police in Garner, the North Carolina town where the incident happened, said in a Facebook post on Tuesday that the 7-year-old and her mother were seriously injured during the attack. The pair were both taken to a WakeMed medical center in Garner for treatment. The girl died as a result of her injuries, police said on Wednesday in an update on Facebook. The identities of the mother and daughter were not revealed.
