The Ole Miss volleyball team will make its long-awaited return to the court on Friday when it takes on the Florida Gators at home. The Rebels are looking for their first win of the year after going 0-6 in the fall season. The Gators went 6-2.
Florida is ranked No. 10 in the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Division I Top-25 poll and No. 11 in the AVCA preseason poll that was released at the beginning of January.
The Rebels lost 3-2 to the Gators the last time they faced off in 2019, and they took the Gators to five sets for the first time since 1989. Looking back at previous matchups, the Gators hold a 50-6 overall record against the Rebels.

CONWAY, S.C. - Coastal Carolina beach volleyball received votes in the 2021 AVCA Collegiate Beach Volleyball preseason poll, the American Volleyball Coaches Association announced on Wednesday.
Last season, the Chanticleers were off to a 10-2 start to the 2020 spring season before the coronavirus pandemic abruptly canceled the season in mid-March.
The Chants went 4-0 to win the UAB Tournament in late February and then went 3-1 at the CofC Beach Bash with the program’s first-ever win over the College of Charleston Cougars.

Four former Lake volleyball players were to play collegiately this year, but now only two will actually get on the court because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The other two, who were to play at Owens Community College, will see their college careers remain in limbo for now. After playing two years at Owens Community College and winning two consecutive NJCAA national championships, 5-foot-10 junior outside hitter Kayla Bekier will begin her junior season this spring playing for NCAA Division II Wheeling University in West Virginia. The Cardinals participate in the Mountain East Conference.

Syracuse volleyball released its 10-game spring schedule to finish the 2020-21 season. The Orange will play one game against the remaining 10 Atlantic Coast Conference teams this spring after facing Pittsburgh, Louisville, Notre Dame and Boston College twice each in the fall.
Syracuse starts its season March 5 at home against UNC. The Tar Heels finished tied for third in the conference during the fall season with a 6-2 record. The season ends April 2 at NC State, a team that finished its fall at 4-4.

As she enters her 31st season as the head coach of the Utah volleyball program, Beth Launiere has also become an author. During COVID-19 pandemic, Launiere and Leo Hopf wrote Stop Competing and Start Winning: The Business of Coaching. Launiere drops by the show to discuss her new book and preview the upcoming season. The Utes are ranked No. 10 in the AVCA poll, their highest preseason ranking in school history. Utah returns three All-Americans from a team that went 24-10 and reached the NCAA Sweet 16 in 2019.
