Washington, D.C. – Family Equality stands together with 110 civil rights and legal groups, organizations for women and girls, medical associations, and proponents of equality for all Americans to oppose harmful anti-transgender bills at the state level. Signers include expert organizations such as American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, American Association of University Women, Family Equality, Girls Inc., Girls on the Run International, GLMA: Health Professionals Advancing LGBTQ Equality, National Black Justice Coalition, New Ways Ministry, Pediatric Endocrine Society, Union for Reform Judaism, Women’s Sports Foundation, and more.

EOU Scholarships are identified with an . COFA, Undocumented, and International Student Success Award
Eastern Oregon University welcomes students from other countries who hold an F-1 visa, part of COFA (Federated States of Micronesia, the Marshall Islands, Palau) or those who are undocumented living in the United States to pursue higher education. Eastern Oregon University is committed to providing opportunities to assist students in successfully accomplishing academic goals. The following scholarship is designated for new international, COFA, undocumented freshman, transfer, and current EOU students. Recipients of this award receive scholarships ranging from $500-$2,500. The application opens each October 1st, and the submission deadline is March 1st, for fall term.

“You’ll never get married; you laugh too much,” Geraldine told Anne. They were hospital mates children in the polio ward at Bellevue Hospital in New York City. But Anne Adoian Nalbandian Bemis paid no heed to Geraldine she went on to live a long and accomplished life full of laughter and marry she did.
Anne always said she was born lucky, having come into this world on the auspicious date of 3/3/33. She was born in New York City’s Chelsea neighborhood to Lucia Adoian Nalbandian and Paul Nalbandian, survivors of the Armenian genocide. (Lucia’s cousin was renowned artist Arshile Gorky, born Manoug Adoian. Art was in Anne’s blood.)
