LAKE TAHOE, Nev. - It s official! The American Century Championship is returning to Edgewood Tahoe for the 32nd year and the list of golfers hitting the links includes fan favorites Justin Timberlake, Tony Romo, Aaron Rogers, Patrick Mahomes, Drew Brees, and Charles Barkley.
Sports and entertainment superstars will take center stage July 7-11 at Edgewood Tahoe. After not being allowed on the course in 2020, fans are able to return this year. They always play a major role in the production from the beach to the greens.

The Rotary Club of Tahoe Douglas recently purchased and awarded more than $7,000 of the Tahoe Chamber Go Local gift cards as a way of saying thank you to local first responders and teachers for their service during the pandemic.
The club purchased 150 of the $50 denomination cards and distributed them to all local Douglas County Sheriff’s deputies, Tahoe Douglas Fire personnel, and the teaching and support staff of both Whittell High and Zephyr Cove Elementary school.
“During this past year, our community’s first responders and educators have stayed at their post and performed above and beyond,” said Paul Thibodeau, Tahoe Douglas Rotary Club president. “This action will help stimulate the local economy and thank these local heroes for their yeoman work during the pandemic.”

Former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo finished in last place at the 2021 Veritex Bank Championship after shooting a five-over 76 in Saturday s second round at Texas Rangers Golf Club in Arlington, Texas.
Romo, who posted a six-over 77 in Thursday s first round, missed the Korn Ferry Tour cut by 17 shots. He recorded three bogeys, a double bogey and no birdies in Round 2.
The 41-year-old California native is an accomplished golfer. He s a two-time winner (2018 and 2019) in the American Century Championship, an annual tournament featuring athletes and celebrities, and he s attempted to qualify for several PGA Tour events, including the U.S. Open.
